I wanted to drop you and your staff a note about the Touch Screen Time Clock system in PTM-Vision.
I have also tried to track productivity and it was always veru time consuming.
I have used the Vision system for a while now and there were changes made that have provided quite an impact on our bottom line. I have tried for years to track Techncian time and bill it out as needed to jobs.
We have run reports for the first two months of this year and I like what I see. We compared January and February 2010 and 2011. We typically write 250 - 300 repair orders a month and we have been able to hold this number for both years. We have sold more labor than parts in both months so far in 2011. Last year we always sold more parts than labor.
Our customers are much more demanding today than ever before and so time is money for us and them. Quick turnaround is very important and with Touch Screen Time Clock everyone is staying on task better than ever in the history of my company. I want to thank PTM for making the changes to Time Clock that I requested!
I now track productivity and I will start adjusting pay for my Techs after the first quarter is in the books. I plan to implement a 'step up' bonus program for all of my Technicians.
