LABOR CODE BUILDING & SERVICE DEPARTMENT MANAGEMENT – 3 hours
Curriculum expands information you can know about your service department to include:

-Defining Burden Cost

-Developing strategies for building labor codes specific to your business

-Assisting Service Writers to be more efficient at building and closing work orders

-Identifying processes and procedures for continuously tracking the cost of selling labor

-Learning efficiency and profitability comparisons for total company, department, and Technician.


MONTH END CLOSE PROCEDURES – 4 hours

Curriculum covers:

-Inventory valuation reports and the affect inventory has on your PTM accounting system

-FIFO, LIFO, Average costing and discussing how your choice will post to the system

-Mechanic hours report breakdown and detailed discussion of revenue generation details

-Reconciliation of checking account(s)

-Balancing AR

-Printing sub-ledgers and balancing them to the General Ledger

-Verification of income to stay in balance throughout the month

-Balancing AP

Curriculum includes:

-How to prepare and process the final warranty invoice listing payment made by vendor or manufacturer, customer, and/or your company

-Seeing the transactions automatically code to the proper General Ledger accounts

-How to report warranty issues on demand for any date range, customer, or vendor


BARCODE SETUP & TRAINING – 4 hours        

-Connecting, installing and setup of label printer

-Setup of point-of-sale scanners 

-Setup of handheld scanner(s) with docking station

-Processes to populate the APPLICATION field in inventory both manually and automatically

-Processes to print barcode labels both manually and automatically

-Understanding the process for doing inventory count using this unit

VEHICLE SALES USAGE & SETUP – 4 hours

Curriculum includes:

-How to track every step of a vehicle sale from point of order through final sale

LIMITED EDITION SPECIAL REPORTS USAGE – 2 hours
Curriculum includes:

-Outlining tactics to reduce time and effort required to accumulate complex reporting

-Sales tax reporting by multiple tax areas

-Understanding combinations of taxable parts, taxable labor and freight

-Learning to categorize General Ledger accounts   
-Reporting on specific net profits by customer, sales person, market area and more

-Paying commissions that can be based on gross sales, net profit, all sales, parts only, labor only,  vehicle sales, inclusion or exclusion of certain types of sales, customers, or vendors

-Setting up different commission percentages for parts or labor


SALVAGE SETUP AND TRAINING – 1 hour

Curriculum covers:

-Tracking enhancements to or sales of all components taken from the unit

-Reporting on total unit investment and revenue generated while selling components from unit

-Acquisition reports that show total initial investment, breakeven, and profitability


REPORT DISCOVERY – 2 hours
Curriculum is user defined to include:

-Enterprising to determine specific reporting needs

-Understanding current and future company reporting needs

-Forecasting customer inventory for projected special needs

-Rate of return estimations by customer


PRODUCTION WORK ORDER TRAINING – 1 hour

Created for companies that rebuild any component or unit for resale and curriculum includes:

-How to start an in-house work order to collect all parts and labor used to rebuild or construct units from beginning to end

-How finished product is added to inventory while seeing exactly is invested to ensure proper profit when the unit is sold


PRODUCTION CORES TRAINING – 1 hour

Curriculum includes:

-Tracking cores through production

-Tracking damaged cores

-Using core percentages and maintaining cores in inventory by reducing core quantities and increasing rebuilt core quantities


PRODUCTION PROCESS TRAINING – 1 hour

Curriculum has been designed for companies that use continuous production technology

Course covers:

-Accumulating and separating material costs by process to determine the number of units and cost per unit produced

-Using production cores

-Understanding production labor and overall shop processes


INTERNAL LEASE TRACKING SETUP – 1 hour

Curriculum includes:

-Tracking of rental unit from acquisition through sale

-Tracking cost and revenue separately to see breakeven and profitability

-Acquisition Reporting

 

 

MRP/Kit Builder Education – This course will get you set up for the processes associated with the complexities of multi-level kit building.  You will learn the intricacies of kits within kits, component tracking, full unit tracking, using BOM, etc.  You will have ability to sell the kit part number at the Point-of-Sale, but when going through the manufacturing process the individual components of the kit or sub-kit will display on the work order.  You will ultimately know the cost of the entire manufacturing process and be able to track the individual cost of components.
