L. Crediting Customers Change V 6.28 and higher

L. Crediting Customers has changed, all the power but more user friendly.

To Credit a Customers account with an ROA payment (Received On Account) go into L. Crediting Customers from the main menu. The screen notes in the upper right hand corner, F6-Date. Use this option to back-date the screen into a previous month.

Press F10 to search for the customer by name or type in the customers account. The screen will prompt with the following screen, showing all invoices on the customer account..

All options are noted at the bottom of this screen under Credit Information.

  1. Enter in the Check# or Memo
    1. If using a Credit card Press, F5 to save the credit card number to the customers account or select a credit card that is already listed on the customers account.
  2. Enter in the Amount of Credit
  3. Enter in the Amount of Discounts Taken (example; if the customer takes a 2% discount if paid by the 10th of the month).
  4. Enter in the Amount of unpaid Service Chgs.(use only if writing off the charges).
  5. If a portion of the payment is going to be written off to Warranty, enter that amount into the Warranty Credits area.

After filling in the prompts, the screen will allow invoices to be selected for payment:

Your cursor will be lined up to the far right of the first Invoice beside the word "no":

Once all invoices are marked for payment the screen will prompt with "Press F10 to Save Exit [ESC] = Abort".

Pressing F10 saves and updates the customers account the deposit screen and the vendor account if using Vendor Code for Warranties.

Pressing [ESC] will abort the transaction, to start over again.

Printing a Customer Receipt.

After pressing F10 to Save Exit the screen will prompt with "Does Customer want a Receipt"

Pressing N takes you back to the customer ID to credit your next account.
Pressing Y bring up the following screen:

Pressing Y on show Invoices gives a status on Invoices Paid in full Partial Paid and not paid.

The written by is for the salesperson collecting the monies.
(P) = Print – Will allow a print or fax, print 2 copies the following combinations used in this box will print or fax etc.

The following is a sample of the printed receipt this receipt will print on your invoice printer.
