1.) TOMA (Top Of Mind Awareness) Strategy
Through the process of marketing your products and services, have
you remembered to market your company image?
The TOMA (Top Of Mind Awareness) effect is very powerful and should be
used every time you are advertising or promoting your company. If you are aggressive with its use, you can
effectively create your desired image with the general public and engrain it
into their minds. By doing so, whenever
they need a product or service in your line of business, they will think of
your company first! Remember, this tool
is not just for bigger companies. You
can be a very small company and STILL gain huge benefit!
Address the following questions before utilizing the TOMA
strategy:
* What image do I want to project for my company?
* Am I just another "me too" company or am I unique in
some way with my product lines and services?
* Do we have more highly trained and skilled staff members that
provide better quality work and are we more experienced than our competitors?
* Do we offer longer and more flexible hours of service for our
customers to access our staff making it easier for them to do business with us?
* Have I defined my potential client groups and the desired
demographic area in which I want to provide products and services?
Once you define the desired image for your company, use the information
to create TOMA via free public relations.
First, select your media type based on maximum exposure. If you can capture multiple media,
excellent! By all means, try to tie
your company to community related events that will generate appeal to readers,
viewers, or listeners. I find
newspaper to be the most effective simply because almost all "local"
papers have "Business in
Brief", "New in Business", or "Featured Business"
columns. Associate with editors and
business writers in your community, let them know you have an upcoming
"Grand Re-opening", "Anniversary", or "Family"
additions to your company. Include
radio and television in your "news releases" pertaining to local,
regional, or national awards. Do public
service work that will demonstrate your willingness to give back to the
community in appreciation of what the community gives you. Consider networking with civic groups,
Chamber of Commerce, community boards, etc.
Explore them all and leave no stones unturned.

2.) Technology in the automotive world
Many of us take our computer systems and networks for
granted. Once they are installed and
working, we tend to forget about scheduled maintenance and security. Since most of the services that our
companies require are on the Internet, we are forced to get access to stay
current with technology. When on the
Internet, there is no such thing as being 100% secure but if you do not take
the proper precautions and keep your safeguards up-to-date, you will be
vulnerable to viruses and other attacks. ...

3.) Trouble shooting an email account
This is going back to the old school, but it is also to best way
to troubleshoot your email account. If
you get that pesky error that says you cannot send email, you can test the
connection by using telnet to bypass your email client and test the email
server directly. You can also log into
your email account through telnet to read and delete messages that are clogging
up your regular email client.
