BARCODING : SHOP MANAGEMENT UPGRADE:
The Shop Management Upgrade for the PTM Barcode
module is an exciting new release from PTM, Inc. This upgrade
allows users to scan, store, and keep track of the parts used
during shop labor operations and attach them to the work order/operation
that they were working on. This new feature is designed to operate
with current portable inventory units such as the Percon PT2000
hand held data terminal. All a user has to do is scan a barcode
for the work order or operation he/she currently performing (printed
on the shop copy work order), and then scan the part(s) that he/she
is using on the job. This process will be repeated throughout
the day by any tech needing to pull inventory from stock. During
this time, a user may alter or delete data from the portable terminal
before uploading it to the system. When the day is complete (or
when they get around to it), the user only has to dock the unit
and press a few keystrokes and all of the parts will be placed
on the corresponding work orders in the system. Another feature
allows you to group the parts to the specific operations so that
you (or the customer) may view which parts were used for which
operations.
FEATURES INCLUDE:
- Ability to track parts for multiple work orders
simultaneously with one hand held unit.
- Ability to group scanned parts to the labor operations
for which they were used.
- Ability to upload data to the system after the
fact.
- Ability to save time so you can bill more hours
and make more money.
